Paint the shapes with acrylic paint and seal...
ENJOY! Southern Style

ENJOY!

Then she begged her daddy to take her outside
Dress them up!
Super Abby was rescuing babies and grannies and toys ALL MORNING! I honestly wish I could share a pattern ot tutorial on this one but it came right off the top of my head and I just made it up as I went. Im putting that blue polka dot fabric to good use and I guess I better since I have 20 more yards of it! Ahhh!
I just had to add a little fairy, and the "baby love" sign to finish it off...
Sarahs bab y is due in march and I made this as a little keepsake to bring with her when she goes to the hospital and she can put all the little keepsake things in it, and it serves as a cutsie decoration for the hospital room...
I kept Abbys little craddle label with her name on it, from the hospital, her armband ID and mine, and the little hat that she wore during our hospital stay....
...I went to every store that was open and stocked up on different things...BOTH stores occupied a few National Guardsmen baring arms and looking quiet official.

I cooked Migas and toast for dinner tonight...Cooking gives me something to do while we wait and it keeps Andrew and Abby happy.
This is my latest decorating project. I wish I could give credit to the person that came up with this idea originally but I saw it on a blog a while back and never bookmarked it or saved the blog page. Anyway, I plan to hang these in my dining room after I get it painted. I might add a few more to the collection before they go up on the wall. I bought these plates at a local thrift shop for 50 cents each! The wooden cut outs where about $2 at Micheals and I just super glued them right onto the plates! I LOVE how they look! You can paint the wooden cut outs whatever color you like...I choose dark brown for mine.
I nearly tripped over my own feet trying to get to these old dominoes I found at a thrift shop. I have been looking for some old ones like this for a while and I was thrilled to find these for $1! I have seen some Etsy shops sell these as funky fridge magnets, but you know I like to make everything myself! Can't stand to spend money on something I could make for myself...plus it's way more fun!
I whipped up this little Cherry Tea Towel last night. I'm sending this off to a sweet friend that blessed me with a small gift and a cheery card a couple of weeks ago. I think it's a pretty funky little thingy! Can't wait to send it off in the mail!

I have seen so many of these cute paper banners and I thought I'd give it a try. I knew from the start this wasn't going to be my best work. It just didn't "create itself" like things usually do. I ussually sit down with two or three colors or items and they kind of come together without much thought...this however, was just a mess the whole way through. I like the colors but it seems a bit "messy" and unfinished looking. oh well, I like the colros and I think it's ok. It kept me busy for a few hours...so, I guess it served it's purpose!

Psalm 113
1 Praise the LORD. Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
2 Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.
3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.
4 The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,
6 who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
8 he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.
9 He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD!!!!

Some cutsie socks, almonds, chicken noodle soup, water, applesauce, dried fruit, air freshener, and some quick cleaning Lysol wipes!

DAD, this one's for you!
I snuck a picture of me on dads bike while they were at church. This is how I see myself in my mind : ) I think I'm the only one who see's it though....lol
Note: Why do i look like i have no neck in this picture????

ok, here's an idea of about what her room has cost so far...
2 gallons of "top of the line paint that I got suckered into by a good salesman" $60 total
Mirror 2$ at a garage sale plus $2 for a can of spray paint to paint it.
3 bracketless shelves from Lowes 20$ total (9$, 7$ and 4$)
Brightly colored stacking boxes on shelf $2 at Ikea in Dallas
And that banner I sewed for her room was about $15 dollars total for the fabric and bias tape.
Soooooo, the GRAND TOTAL for Abbys room, so far..IS $101

I'm not a big fan of rubber stamps, simply because I think they cost too much. I'm working on a project though, and I kinda ran out of idea and decided to look for a rubber stamp. I just couldn't pay 14$ though. I dont care how many times I ever used it, I dont think I would ever feel like I got 14$ worth out of it : ) ANyway, I'm sure you have seen these clear stamps that they sell in sheets of eight or ten...well ,the sheets of stamps are only about 4 dollars but the acrylic stamp block is where they get you...ten dollars! So I picked up a pack of the stamps and two of these solid wooden blocks (99 cents each)and used my trusy ole' E600 glue to stick them to the blocks. Now I have 12 different stamps, on two blocks, for under eight dollars!!!! WOO HOO! I'm sure I'm not the first person do do this but I just thought I'd share the idea for all you other "frugal" crafters!
